I grew up with a deep connection to nature in rural Sardinia, starting my career as an engineer, later settling in Perth. When I discovered pottery, the transformative power of clay provided profound therapeutic relief, becoming a turning point in my life and gave me a renewed sense of purpose, reshaping my own story, inspiring others.
Clay became a tool for creative expression, healing and empowerment, helping me navigate family violence and chronic pain.
Clay, fragile for its inner properties, through intense transformation, emerges from the firing as a piece of art. These works have intricate surfaces and detail, that resemble coral shapes. Corals, also so fragile, adapt to survive in a changing world, attaching themselves to the unexpected, symbolizing the beauty of growth in the darkest times.
I aim to create a unique composition that invites us to reflect, and celebrate our collective capacity for resilience, healing and transformation both on an individual and planetary level.
