Connie Augoustinos is a ceramic artist creating sculptural vessels and objects. With an intuitive making process, her work considers her cultural heritage, the history of craft, as well as the natural world.
Connie’s practise predominantly uses the coil hand-building and pinching techniques, playing with scale and surface. The slow process of hand-making is reflected in her work, each piece is unique, imbued with patience and meaning.
Connie undertook a Bachelor of Visual Art, specialising in Ceramics at University of South Australia and then went on to complete the Associate Training Program at JamFactory, Adelaide in 2017.
She has exhibited nationally and internationally and has had her works collected by the Art Gallery of South Australia, Shepparton Art Museum, Victoria as well as residing in many private collections.
