Artist Statement

This text reports and translates the course of studies, reflections, researches and procedures, dedicated to the elaboration of a set of works done with earth, with ceramics, on the theme of nests and cocoons. Those works were made from the experiences that my body, current and conscious, has with the nature that surrounds me that is my home universe. The thoughts triggered by these experiences make an analogous relationship between nests and cocoons with the house and body as a primordial nest. The reflections happen from the experience of pregnancy, with the sequence of facts that happens in the process of reproducing life and its consequences resulting from the transformations and degeneration of the body during the course of illness and aging. The works made starting from this process are constantly presented to the public through the holding of individual and collective exhibitions, participations in Art Residencies, Symposiums, Congresses, Ceramic Meetings, and Artistic Interventions in the city and landscape in various places around the world.
